Sweet Summer Getaway

This afternoon, I will be escaping to the Gulf Islands for 10 days of rest + relaxation. It’s truly one of my favorite places – there’s something to be said about completely unplugging, taking a step back + enjoying the beauty around us. It’s rare that I get this opportunity, to unwind + regroup. I’m looking forward to getting lots of rest + coming home completely refreshed. To get back to business.

Although I won’t be publishing anything new until I get back, I will still be updating my instagram + twitter (hmm..I guess I’m not completely unplugged – all in moderation!)

Have a great weekend!! XO

Yesterday should have been just like any ordinary Thursday. Instead, it was pretty spectacular!

All In The Details {Home Edition}

My philosophy is that life should be lived artfully – with great attention to detail. Just as I mentioned here and here, when it comes to style, the importance of daily details make up who we are and how the world see us. The same philosophy (for me) should shine through your everyday living in your home and the spaces in which we spend our time.

Whether it be adding bright pops of color to a contemporary room, filling book shelves full of antiques found on a sunny Saturday or a vintage coffee table book accompanied by gorgeous peonies (my favorite!). These seemingly insignificant details speak volumes about our style + personality, the light in which we chose to live our life and how we + others feel when walking through our front door.

Like I’ve mentioned before, Pinterest has been a great inspiration for me to explore my specific taste and style. Leave your URL in the comments section below so I can follow you back! XO

Just for the weekend, the clouds parted + the sun peeked out. After countless days of rain, it was a nice change of pace..after all, isn’t it suppose to be summer?! However, I have to say that the rain has helped me focus on studying for my exams, which I will write this afternoon (wish me luck!).

1. Saturday Casuals
2. Another gift the rain has given me; a lush, green garden!
3. Making Pom Popsicles
4. The finished product (Rocket Molds!)
5. Sunday Lounging
6. Morning Tea, Sunday Stripes
